The Greater Christchurch Schools' Network is a charitable trust which develops, implements and evaluates a range of programmes and initiatives to bridge the digital divide for school-aged students and their whānau within greater Christchurch. GCSN’s projects facilitate access to the internet and internet-capable devices across a range of home and school settings. Its professional learning and development programmes enhance teacher knowledge and capability in digital fluency and effective e-learning pedagogies.
Obvious was engaged to establish a brand new identity for GCSN - Greater Christchurch Schools' Network that celebrates the transformative work they do across local communities.
The arch below GC communicates a smile and reprsents community engagement for a greater Christchurch, while the arch above the 'SN' communicates network connectivity, further reinforcing the technology-lead approach to learning that GCSN supports. The contemporary colour pallet and typographic treatment celebrates both Canterbury and Māori identities.
This is a brand that GCSN can celebrate and a friendly identity that reflects their positive contribution to communities.
