A44 Games is the Wellington-based game studio behind Flintlock: The Siege of Dawn (2024), published with Kepler Interactive. A significant New Zealand creative-tech employer with global reach, A44 commissioned Obvious to produce a brand awareness film campaign that captures the studio’s creative culture, talent and approach to game-making.
The Brief
The brief was to produce a brand-led film series that worked across recruitment, business-development and audience-trust use cases. A44 needed material that signalled creative seriousness without falling into the marketing-tech aesthetic that surrounds most game-studio brand content.
